Medical Claims

We are dedicated to making the claim process as simple and expedient as possible. Click on the name of your travel insurance contract to be directed to the accurate claim process:

In the event of an emergency during a covered trip, you must call Global Excel immediately:
– For Escapade Single Trip;
– For Escapade Multi-Trip;
– For Escapade All-inclusive;
– For Escapade Non-Medical;
– For Escapade Trip Cancellation;
– For Escapade Visitors to Canada.

You can apply for a medical claims for care you paid during your trip, you must:

  1. Read the claim form carefully, and complete it accurately and fully;
  2. Include all numbers and letters on your government health card (if applicable) in the box titled Provincial Health Number;
  3. Sign both sides of the claim form;
  4. Enclose original copies of all self-paid bills and receipts, as well as any unpaid bills you have received;
  5. Please provide proof of departure and return date (e.g. gas receipts, airline tickets, letter from employer and/or credit card statements);
  6. Return all above documents to the following address as soon as possible.

In the event of an emergency during a covered trip, you must call Reliable Life Insurance Company’s emergency assistance provider immediately:
– For ALTO Youth Emergency Medical;
– For ALTO Youth Premier Package;
For ALTO Youth Standard Package;
For ALTO Youth Trip Cancellation Plan.

The telephone numbers are listed in your policy. To file a claim for benefits under this policy:

  1. Submit your claim forms within 30 days after the expense or loss is incurred or as soon as is reasonably possible;
  2. Written proof of the claim must be submitted within 90 days, but not later than 12 months after the date of the event or loss.
  3. Written proof of a claim shall include the completion of any claim forms furnished by Reliable Life Insurance Company, original receipts and any documentation required (please consult the policy for detail).

You can apply for a medical claims directly online from ihi Assist for care you paid during your trip, you must:

1. scan all your medical receipts and invoices. Please keep your original receipts and invoices until the complete processing of your request for reimbursement of medical expenses incurred. Exemple of receipts to provide: prescription drugs issued by the pharmacist, doctor or hospital indicating the name of the physician who wrote the prescription, the prescription number, the product name, the date and the total cost.

2. please complete the online form: https://global.ihi.com/Travel+Insurance/Submit+travel+claim.aspx

3. enclose your scanned documents in this online form.

4. If you submit bills for more than one claim type (eg. dental, medical or baggage), you must submit a separate claim for each type to avoid misunderstandings.

NOTE: This contract does not cover expenses incurred to obtain additional medical documentation if required.
